Introducing MAKTAPE – The new heavy duty tape measures by Makita. Featuring Silica Coat makes the tape more durable than an acrylic coated tapes and allows the user to mark reference points on the tape with a pencil, along with a matte finish to easily read in all types of lighting conditions. With a magnetic hook and 4 rivets provide more durability and absorb the shock when being retracted.

- A retraction dampener that has been installed to absorb the shock when the hook is being retracted. This works well in combination with the 4 rivets
- To provide more durability for the hook 4 rivets are provided to absorb the shock when being retracted. The protector on the backside are not held by the 4 main rivets to ensure the hooks durability
- 2 x Neodymium Magnets installed in the hook provided a strong connection to metallic surfaces
- Hook protection is provided on both sides of the hook to protect it in the case it is dropped and also stops the hook from catching on items when retracted
