- Affected chainsaws have 4670 11 or 4670 21 listed as the first 6 digits of the product serial number
- The serial number can be found on the rating plate as per the image below

Defect:
The chain brake may not activate correctly if woodchips or debris accumulate, and the chainsaw is not cleaned and maintained regularly as per the manufacturer’s instructions.
Hazard:
Risk of serious injury from laceration if the chain brake does not activate during a kickback. Incidents have occurred overseas.
What Consumers Should Do:
- Stop using the product immediately.
- Contact Milwaukee Tool (Australia) for a free service and repair
- Do not take the product back to the place of purchase. If the product was purchased as part of a kit, no action is required for batteries or chargers sold with the kit.

Defect:
Chemtools are issuing a precautionary product recall for specific batches of our Brake Cleaner Non-Flammable (BCNF) due to a potential manufacturing issue that may affect the pressure in the cans, causing a couple to combust. The batches effected are 1-2+ years old and there are no issues if the can was purchased close to manufacture date and used.
Hazard:
As part of our commitment to quality and safety, we have identified that the above batches may not meet our strict formulation standards. The issue has been addressed and the formula changed as this only becomes an issue if old cans sit around for a long time. This recall is being undertaken as a precautionary measure.
Action:
- Check the batch number printed on the can.
- If your product matches any of the batch numbers listed above, please:
- Isolate the product from use or sale
- Contact our customer service team with a picture of the can with batch number visible to arrange a credit
- Dispose of the can

SAFETY RECALL

Defect:
Hose Set 1200 (191W58-9) and Hose Set 600 (191W59-7) which are used with the 18V DGP180ZBK Grease Gun are non-compliant in accordance with ISO 1402.
Hazard:
Repeatedly bending the tip of the hose to inject grease into narrow spaces can cause a hole to form near the tip of the hose, potentially leading to grease spraying out. It may cause serious personal injurity to the operator if the correct protective equipment isn’t used.
Action:
Makita recommends customers immediately stop using the 18V DGP180ZBK Grease Gun.
Remove any grease from the barrel and return the entire tool to your nearest Makita Factory Service Centre (FSC) for a replacement of the affected parts at no charge.

Hazard:

What are the defects?
The rear trigger switch can fail to rebound after being pressed, which can cause the hedge trimmer to activate unexpectedly.
What are the hazards?
There is a risk of serious injury including laceration if the hedge trimmer activates unexpectedly.
What should consumers do?
Stop using the recalled hedge trimmer immediately.

The plastic rear guard could break or come off and hit the saw blade.
What are the hazards?
If the plastic rear guard hits the rotating saw blade, fragments of the guard may hit the user or bystanders, causing injury.

What are the defects?
Some saws have been manufactured with electrical resistors and varistors that can be damaged by fluctuating voltages while connected to mains electricity. These damaged components can then become hot or start to smoulder if they continue to experience fluctuating voltage. This could also result in the saw catching fire.
What are the hazards?
Injury to the user may occur due to melted or smouldering parts or fire. Property damage could also occur.
What should consumers do?
The Kapex KS 88 and KS 120 mitre saws should be disconnected from the mains power when not in use.
Owners of potentially affected mitre saws should unplug their saw from the mains power and check whether their saw is affected by entering their saw’s part number and serial number in the online search form at https://www.festool.com/campaigns/microsites/retrofit-au#KAPEXretrofit

What are the defects?
The tank material can be too brittle allowing the tank to crack. If the fuel tank cracks, fuel could leak, increasing the risk of fire, which could result in severe injury or death.
What are the hazards?
If the unit runs for prolonged periods in an enclosed area without ventilation, carbon monoxide poisoning could occur.
What should consumers do?
The Yamaha dealer will replace the fuel tank with one that has been correctly moulded. Yamaha recommends that consumers do not operate their affected generator until this modification is performed.

What are the defects?
The product does not meet the requirements of the mandatory standard ‘Consumer Protection Notice No. 12 of 2008, Consumer Product Safety Standard for Vehicle Support Stands’.
The product was sold without the instruction manual and an incomplete label. The jack stand’s label is missing some of the required information.
What are the hazards?
If the stand is mislabelled, and does not have correct safety information, the occupant may misuse it on a different vehicle or in a way it was not designed for. Misuse may cause jack stand instability or failure. If a consumer is under the vehicle, this may lead to a vehicle collapsing causing severe injury or death.
What should consumers do?

What are the defects?
When the lawn mower is in use, a short circuit in the electronic system may occur which could be caused by a possibly defective transistor in the motor control. This short circuit leads to the failure of the device and restart attempts will be unsuccessful.
What are the hazards?
If this occurs and the consumer places the lawn mower in a garage or storeroom and does not comply with the operating instructions by removing the battery, and turning the safety key to 0 or removing the key, the short circuit may persist resulting in increased electrical current flowing into an adjacent component. If so, the adjacent component may subsequently overheat and catch on fire.
What should consumers do?
Consumers should cease use of the lawn mower immediately. Affected lawn mowers can be returned to local authorised Husqvarna dealers for repairs.

What are the defects?
When cutting at a 45 degrees angle, the blade cover does not open fully. If it is forced open by the operator the blade cover may become stuck and expose the spinning blade.
What are the hazards?
An exposed blade during use poses a serious injury risk.
What should consumers do?
Check the model and serial number of your saw. If the model and serial number of your saw is within the affected range stop using the saw immediately.
